USA shooting competition is a a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. It was bond by the United States Olympic Committee as the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of shooting in April 1995. This year 2012, there will be 15 events to happen at the Olympic Games: six for women and nine for men. These competitors are divided into shotgun, rifle and pistol disciplines. A Malaysian shooter name Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi and her unborn baby will be shooting for two at the 2012 Olympic Game in London. Suryani is scheduled to participate the sport event this summer. And during that time, she will be in her eight months pregnancy. But don’t be bothered, Suryani will only be partici[pating a single event- the 10m air rifle- and not the biathlon or other strenuous competitions. Unlike other pregnant women, who are enjoying relaxation and being pampered, Suryani is anticipating with pleasure to the Games. She feels so much ready for the competition. She said Reuters “When I’m pregnant I don’t have problems, I enjoy it. My aim is to compete.”

Though some of the Malaysian shooter fans are worried about her condition and the danger that might cause to her and to her upcoming baby, Suryani got her husband solid support. Even her doctor gave her the tentative OK to compete in the game. Suryani is very confident even with her condition. "Maybe, at the end of June or whatsoever, if I have some problem that would jeopardize the baby inside me, I will reconsider whether I am going or not. But I feel I am strong and my husband says 'as long as you feel like that, energized to do that, it seems like that is your baby talking to you so you go.”

Suryani qualified for the Games at the Asian Shooting Championships in January, days after finding out she was pregnant. In addition, this Malaysian shooter has won two gold medals in Southeast Asian Games, a gold in New Delhi’s Commonwealth Games, as well as a few other awards.

"I will talk to the baby before I compete... 'no kicking, stay calm for one hour and 15 minutes only please,'" she said.
